Vantai24h - 10/30/2014 - Transport 24h Co. has been a close partner of the Hanoi’s Club of Backpacking over the past two years on the journeys of charity to mountainous areas. We continued accompanying volunteers all round the country to bring the warmth and feelings of love to children at Bat Dai Son Village, Quan Ba District, Ha Giang Province.
This time, Transport 24h Co. transported donated items free of charge from Hanoi to Ha Giang. The road was very steep and dangerous with many sleeve- curves and the heavy rain made it more hazardous to get over. However, thanks to the help from local authority, teachers and volunteers, we finally came to the final destination safely.

The charity program received much support from organizations, domestic and abroad individuals to bring a warm winter to preschool and primary children at Bat Dai Son Village, Quan Ba District, Ha Giang Province. The employees of AVINA Company donated 20 tables and 200 inox chairs to the Ethnic Elementary School of Bat Dai Son with the total value of 25 million VNDs. Unilever Company gave 790 gifts to 790 local children of Bat Dai Son Village, including: 1,833 P/S toothpastes, 790 toothbrushes, 3,905 shower gel packs, 432 soaps, 800 hats, 790 OMO laundry liquid bags and 100 gifts for local teachers. In addition, we presented 8 special gifts to orphaned children with particularly disadvantaged backgrounds. Moreover, 787 jackets, 787 sandals, notebooks, pens and 12 electric fans were given to schools and elementary and preschool children at Bat Dai Son Town.

The town of Bat Dai Son is an impoverished border one belonging to Quan Ba District, which is 70 kilometers away from the center of Ha Giang City. It has 9 villages with 9 schools. The farthest town is 14.5 kilometers from the town center if following the forest road. The total number of students at the Ethnic Elementary School of Bat Dai Son is 448, all of whom are ethnics. Mr. Bui Quang Hoa, the principal of the Ethnic Elementary School of Bat Dai Son said: “We are very touching and grateful for affections of benefactors all over the country and enthusiastic support from companies such as Unilever, AVINA, Transport 24h, Khanh Thien Travel. In addition, we would like to show our sincere gratitude to volunteers of the Hanoi’s Backpacking Club who were not afraid of difficulties to get there and share joy and difficulties with the schools, teachers and students here.”
Despite the material deprivation and hardships, people here are very rich in emotions. From the local authority to teachers and students, they always welcomed us in the most sincere ways, helped us from the preparation to the end of the program. Seeing students gathering around volunteers, we from the Transport 24h Co, who are considered as dry ones felt melted regardless of the chilly winds. We hope that children here will do their best studying to become useful citizens and contribute to the construction of their own hometown to be more prosperous and civilized and bring valuable and diverse culture of Vietnam to international friends./.
