Specifically, the Prime Minister agreed to adjust the National Highway No.1 from Nga Bay town, Hau Giang province (Km2100 + 00) to Chau Thanh district, Soc Trang province (Km2118 + 600) from 2 lanes to 4. lane motor and 2 lanes mixed. The section of Nga Bay town (Km2100 + 00-Km2140 +200) is planned to be expanded along the route of Quan Lo-Phung Hiep route to reduce traffic jams in the center of Nga Bay town.
