On November 4, 2026, the domestic road traffic situation recorded a lot of remarkable information related to serious traffic accidents, adjustment of traffic organization in localities and the management and exploitation of road infrastructure. Notably, Hanoi took over the management of a section of the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen expressway, while the functional forces continued to strengthen the monitoring of traffic violations through the camera system and handle unsafe points on the road.
1. A continuous accident on Ho Chi Minh road through Hue City caused 2 deaths
A serious traffic accident occurred at Km362+970, Ho Chi Minh street, the section through A Luoi 4 commune, Hue city.
The accident occurred around 12:50 on November 3, involving a truck and two motorbikes, causing 3 casualties, including 2 people who died on the spot.
Authorities were present at the scene to handle the incident, regulate traffic and investigate the cause of the accident. This continues to be a warning about the risk of serious collisions on mountain roads, where there are many winding roads and limited visibility.
2. Hanoi receives and manages nearly 9 km of Hanoi - Thai Nguyen expressway
The Ministry of Construction has decided to transfer the road traffic infrastructure assets of the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen expressway, from Km0+000 to Km8+772,76, to the management of the Hanoi People's Committee.
This move aims to clearly deline the responsibility of managing, exploiting and maintaining the route, creating favorable conditions for traffic organization and infrastructure maintenance in the city.
3. Lang Son distributes traffic to celebrate the 195th anniversary of the establishment of the province
In two days from November 3 to 04, 2026, the traffic police force of Lang Son province implemented a traffic channeling plan at Hung Vuong street, Luong Van Tri ward to serve activities to celebrate the 195th anniversary of the founding of Lang Son province (November 4, 1831 - November 4, 2026).
People are advised to pay attention to signs and instructions of functional forces and actively choose alternative routes to avoid traffic jams during the event.
4. Ho Chi Minh City discovered more than 321,000 cases of traffic violations through cameras
According to information from the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police, in the period from December 15, 2025 to October 8, 2026, the surveillance camera system and professional technical means recorded more than 321,000 cases of violating the law on traffic order and safety.
The application of surveillance cameras helps improve the efficiency of detecting and handling violations, limiting the situation of vehicle drivers who intentionally violate when there are no functional forces directly on duty.
This is also one of the important solutions in the process of modernizing urban traffic management.
5. Continue to warn of the risk of landslides on National Highway 28 in Lam Dong
After prolonged heavy rains, some positions on National Highway 28 through Lam Dong province had roadbed subsidence and landslides.
Previously, from 18:00 on October 30, the authorities organized a ban on vehicles passing through the Km136+800–Km136+900 section to ensure safety, and at the same time arranged alternative traffic directions between Gia Nghia and Da Lat.
People who need to move through the area need to follow the channeling notice and do not arbitrarily enter the blocked roads.
Conclusion
In general, on November 4, 2026, road traffic continued to record issues of concern about traffic safety, infrastructure management and traffic organization in localities. Serious accidents show that traffic participants need to be vigilant, especially when traveling on mountainous roads and routes with high vehicle density.
Besides, the application of surveillance cameras, decentralization of infrastructure management and active channeling in areas at risk of insecurity are contributing to improving the efficiency of traffic management. People need to regularly update information, follow signs and instructions of functional forces to ensure safety in each journey.
