Having obtained B2 driving license and being a veteran driver, Diu has been familiar with transport routes from Hanoi to Northern provinces. After getting qualified for driving trucks of over 8 tons, Diu accompanied an experienced driver to make his first long-day journey of transportation. The journey was divided into two parts: shipping goods from Hanoi to HCMC and from HCMC to provinces of Southwest region including Vinh Long and Tra Vinh. The total time for the two way journey was about 8 days.
Diu said: “You only need to follow National Route 1A to dispatch goods from the north to south. Except for roads which are under construction and upgraded, the traffic is very smooth and convenient. Drivers should follow traffic rules and pay attention to signs in order not to get lost. After 3 days and a half, Diu’s truck came to HCMC. At that time, a staff of Transport 24h Co.Ltd’s branch would check the number of deconsolidated consignments and allocate trucks with suitable load to deliver goods in the inner HCMC and to other provinces. Diu’s truck had to deliver commodities to Tra Vinh before following Highway 53 to reach the final destination of Vinh Long.
Stage 1: HCMC- Tra Vinh: it is about 140 km to transport goods from HCMC to Tra Vinh. From the inner HCMC, drivers go to An Lac Roundabout, then follow Route 1A to pass through Ben Luc Bridge and Van Bridge before reaching the roundabout of Tan An City (Long An Province). Then, continue going as follows: Tan Huong Bridge- Ben Chua Bridge- Trung Luong Interchange- My Tho City- Ap Bac- Nguyen Thi Thap (Highway 60). After that, drivers run along Highway 60 to the interchange with Highway 53, then turn left to join Highway 53. From there, you keep on going straight to reach Tra Vinh Town.
Stage 2: Tra Vinh – Vinh Long: Highway 53 is the only road to ship goods from Tra Vinh to Vinh Long. The total length of the route linking Tra Vinh City and Vinh Long City is about 60 km. From Le Loi Street (Tra Vinh City), trucks move toward Muoi Chin Thang Tam Street – Vo Van Kiet- Highway 53- Tra Vinh City. The route runs through Chau Thanh District and Cang Long District (Tra Vinh Province). After leaving Tra Vinh Province, you will arrive in Vinh Long Province. The 40 km section of Highway 53 runs through following districts: Vung Liem, Tam Binh, Mang Thit, Long Ho and finally leads to Vinh Long City.
