Vantai24h – Date 03/21/2016 – Journeys of goods transportation from Hanoi to northern mountainous passes has become highly familiar with drivers of Transport 24h Co.Ltd. Each journey takes about one day to complete.
Among four greatest passes of the north, Khau Pha Pass comes second with the total length of over 30 km and the dangerously curved terrain. Khau Pha Pass is located in Mu Cang Chai District (Yen Bai Province) and at the altitude of 1200 km to 1500 km. This is the main route connecting Yen Bai with Lai Chau and Lao Cai Province. It is also the longest pass on Highway 32.
From Hanoi (at the end of Ho Tung Mau Road), you drive to Cau Dien which is the starting point of Highway 32. Next, continue going straight through communes and districts of Hanoi , namely Hoai Duc – Dan Phuong – Phuc Tho- Thach That- Son Tay- Ba Vi. Then, you will pass the following districts of Phu Tho and Yen Bai Provinces: Thanh Thuy – Tam Nong- Thanh Son- Tan Son- Van Chan- Nghia Lo- Mu Cang Chai – Than Uyen and finish at the intersection of Binh Lu, Tam Duong, Lai Chau Province. From the abovementioned information, it is highly noticeable that Highway 32 runs through 4 provinces and cities, namly Hanoi, Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Lai Chau with the length of over 400 km.
There are many passes lied on Highway 32, the most famous of which is Khau Pha. It is one of many favourite passes adventureous people would like to set their foot on. With veteran drivers of Transport 24h Co.Ltd, Khau Pha Pass is very familiar. It is not only a challenge to conquer but also a close friend in their journeys of transporting goods.
Despite the length of only 30 km, a large number of vehicles run along Khau Pha Pass every day. There are coaches transporting tourists and trucks of various weights goods shipping between Van Chan and Mu Cang Chai District, and between Yen Bai with other provinces around the country. Therefore, it is very necessary for drivers to control their vehicles carefully. Moreover, due to its geographical position, the thick fog usually lies over the pass so drivers need to pay more attention when driving at night and in early morning.
When visibility is restricted, a driver’s natural tendency is to activate the high-beam headlights. When driving in fog, this further impairs visibility because the high-beam illumination refletcs off of the fog and back at your vehicle. If hour vehicles has front of fog lights, they can help illuminate the road and make your vechile more visible to other drivers. In some cases, turn on rear fog lights to help motorists who are following you to see your vehicle from a greater distance.
Remember to keep your speed and maintain a safe distance with other vehicles so that you can handle with unexpected situations. If driving in rain and fog, the road surface will become slippery, making it dangerous for people and vehicles on the road. Therefore, observe and control you speed are very important to ensure the safety for your journeys.
Another factor to keep in mind is to make the lines on the road lead your way. Today, some sections on Khau Pha Pass have no road markers on the roadside so drivers, especially young ones need to be careful.
Although the roads leading to the north eastern area are rather dangerous but they bring fresh air and peace in mind to people when we have opportunies to contact closely with nature. With the above information, we hope that drivers all over the country will obtain more knowledge and driving skills. We wish you complete transport journeys with high efficiency and safety./.
