Vantai24h – Date 02/17/2016 – Transport 24h Co.Ltd ships goods to provinces of Central Highlands, loads and unloads consignments at Quy Nhon Port (Binh Dinh Province) and Le Thanh Border Gate (Gia Lai Province). With the services, we use 2 to 3 trucks of over 5 tons for transportation.
From the center of Hanoi, goods are categorized and loaded onto heavy trucks for transporting to Central Highlands. Another option is that customers can use the service of two-way transport between Hanoi and Quy Nhon Port (Binh Dinh) or Le Thanh Border Gate (Gia Lai).
To ship goods from Hanoi to Central Highlands, drivers have two options, namely National Route 1 and Ho Chi Minh Road. However, according to many veteran drivers, in the past, it was quite dangerous to use Ho Chi Minh Road for transporting from Pleiku City to Hanoi due to the poor quality of roads and sharp curves so they preferred following Route 19. Route 19 is the key road connecting provinces of Central Highlands and Quy Nhon Port (Binh Dinh). It starts at Quy Nhon Port (Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province) and finishes at Le Thanh Border Gate (Gia Lai). Route 19 is 240 km long and runs through Gia Lai Province and Binh Dinh Province. It takes about 28 hours to dispatch goods from Pleiku City to Hanoi along Route 19 but thanks to the upgrade and renovation of Ho Chi Minh Road, the total time of traveling along the route is reduced to 25 hours. Driving along Ho Chi Minh Road will save 3 hours for drivers and the distance is also 150 shorter than using Route 19. In addition, if you follow Ho Chi Minh Road, the average speed is about 65 km/h because there is a low volume of traffic. Drivers also can save up a large amount of vehicles’ fuel due to fewer stops.
With the aim to develop the traffic system further and create favorable conditions for the economic progress of Central Highlands and Binh Dinh Province, the Prime Minister has decided to renovate and upgrade Route 19 (the section from Quy Nhon Port to the intersection of Route 19 and Route1). Route 19has the total length of 238 km in which the section from Quy Nhon Port to the intersection with Route 1A is 17.8 km long. This section will be constructed according to the standard of urban roads with 6 lanes and the road’s width of 32 to 50 km. In October 2015, the section from Quy Nhon Port to Route 1A was put into use. The rest of construction is expected to finish in 2020.
Route 19 is the main road linking The Middle with Central Highlands. Thanks to the upgrade and renovation, Route 19 now can meet the high demand for traffic and transporting goods from provinces to Quy Nhon Port./.
