Vantai24h – Date 01/15/2016 – National Route 14 and its secondary roads go around the Central Highlands and Central of Vietnam. We would like to share with drivers the useful information of this route so that you can choose suitable roads for transporting goods according to customers’ demand.
National Route 14 is over 1000 km long. It starts in Dakrong District, Quang Tri Province. Along the south, Route 14 runs though the provinces of Quang Nam, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong and Binh Phuoc. Chu Tuan Anh, a driver who usually travels and transports goods from Ha Noi to provinces of Central Highlands said: “Before the upgrade, the road to the center of Chu Se Town was a nightmare of drivers, especially in the rain seasons. At that time, the road was filled with dirt and silt, making it very inconvenient for local residents and drivers to travel. Besides, it also might cause expenses to repair vehicles’ potential damages”.

Things have already changed on Route 14. Today, after being renovated, it has become a beautiful road and be considered “the silk of Central Highlands”. The upgraded road section is from Kon Tum to Binh Phuoc with the total length of 600 km and width of 12m. The road surface has high quality with two bituminous lanes, each of which is 5m wide. To ensure the traffic safety, there are a large group of police from the provinces of Binh Phuoc, Dac Nong, Gia Lai, Kon Tum and so forth to control the speed limit along this route. Intercity roads are usually regulated and managed right at the starting point of roads.
Phan Van Chinh – Transport 24h Co.Ltd’s head manager of Business Department said: “This route is greatly praised by many drivers due to its high quality road surface. It takes 9 to 10 hours to go between Daklak Province and Ho Chi Minh City instead of 12 hours like in the past, so we increase the volume of transport journey though this route. Today, our company has more than 10 types of trucks weighting from 5 to 27 tons, containers which are specially used to ship goods from Hanoi to Central Highlands and Ho Chi Minh City. Thanks to improved services and fast delivery, there is an increase in the number of customers’ orders. Both company’ staff and drivers are very excited”.

National Route 14 is the skeleton of in Central Highlands because it is the main road connecting three areas of the north, central and south of Vietnam. Therefore, this route plays a vital role in stimulating the exchange of goods between provinces and cities. The fact that the road was upgraded and put into use has significantly supported not only local logistics companies but also other companies in the country to save expenses and gain the highest efficiency in transportation journeys./.
