Vantai24h – Date 12/03/2015 - Battery plays an important role to ensure the proper operation of cars. In the transport journey from Hanoi to Binh Thuan last week, driver Hoang Dinh Dung encountered a truck which could not move because of its dead battery. Thanks to his practical experience, Dung helped the truck driver to jump-start its battery.
With experienced drivers, they always carry a set of jumper cables which sometimes become extremely valuable to drivers. There are several reasons your car battery could die; including going for long periods of time without starting your car, storing in freezing outdoor temperatures, leaving headlights or interior lights on while the car is turned off and so forth. In order to charge a dead car battery, a set of jumper cables and a functional car with a charged battery are required. You will then have the ability to connect the batteries to one another using the cables, and recharge the dead battery by transferring energy from the functional battery. Dung said: “Actually, taking energy from another car is quite simple. You need to observe carefully for the first time to remember steps so that if this happens again, you can handle on your own and help other drivers”. This method is considered simple, time-saving and economical.

A set of over 2.5 meter jumper cables makes it convenient for transferring the energy.
According to Dung’s Instructions, we would like to share how to jump start your car battery as follows:
Find a car to serve as the boosting car. Park the two cars -- the dead car and the boosting car -- close to one another, making sure that they're not touching each other. Make sure both cars' engines are turned off, and both cars are in park.
Clamp the red jumper cable to the dead car's positive battery terminal, which is marked with a "+." Make sure that the clamp is firmly connected to the battery. Then, clamp the black jumper cable (i.e. the negative cable) to the booster car's negative battery terminal, which is marked with a " - ". Make sure that the clamp is firmly connected to the battery. Ensure that the jumper cables are not touching any engine parts.

Finally, start the booster car's engine and let it idle for a few minutes. Start the dead car's engine and let it idle for a few minutes. Disconnect the black jumper cable from the once-stalled engine. Then disconnect the black jumper cable from the booster car. Remove the red jumper cable from the booster car. Then remove the red jumper cable from the once-stalled car.

All the above are some rescue techniques Transport 24h Co.Ltd would like to share with you when the car battery is dead. We hope that drivers can accumulate more valuable experience to handle themselves in unexpected situations. We wish all drivers of Transport 24h Co.Ltd in particular and across the country in general would have transport journeys with safety and efficiency.
