Vantai24h – Date 10/27/2015 – The highway 2 is considered a key traffic route to transport goods from Hanoi to Vinh Phuc. The starting point of the Highway 2 is at the intersection of Phu Lo in Soc Son District, Hanoi City and the finish point is the border checkpoint of Thanh Thuy in Vi Xuyen District, Ha Giang Province.
Vinh Phuc is one of ten provinces which used to have ideal conditions for the development of rice-growing civilization. Along with Hanoi and other 9 provinces of Red River Delta, Vinh Phuc is a key economic region in the north of Vietnam. With many advantages and potential, Vinh Phuc Province has made great progress in economics, culture and society. People know about this province not only for its famous tourist sites such as Tam Dao, Dai Lai… but it also attract logistics businesses’ interests because the existence of many big industrial zones.
No matter how you can get there, all drivers want to go to Vinh Phuc must pass the Highway 2 because this is the main traffic route linking its economy and culture to other provinces’ in the Red River Delta and in the country.
The Highway 2 is 312 kilometers long and link five provinces and cities including Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang. The Highway is divided into 3 different parts, namely 2A, 3A and 2C.
- Highway 2A: it links Noi Bai Airport in Soc Son District with Vinh Yen City, Vinh Phuc Province.
- Highway 2B: there are 2 branches: one links Vinh Yen with Tuyen Quang City and the other goes to Tam Dao Town.
- Highway 2C: linking Tuyen Quang City and Thanh Thuy border checkpoint in Vinh Xuyen District, Ha Giang.
From the center of Hanoi, there are many roads leading to the Highway 2 but truck drivers usually choose 2 main roads to go as follows:
- Route 1: Central Hanoi- Lac Long Quan – Nhat Tan Bridge – Vo Nguyen Giap – Highway 2.
- Route 2: Central Hanoi – Pham Van Dong – Thang Long Bridge – Vo Van Kiet – Highway 2.
To save time, drivers can choose the route Noi Bai Airport – Lao Cai. When going to Vinh Phuc Province, following the road out of the highway, trucks continue going along Highway 2B to get to Vinh Yen City or other districts according to customers’ demand.
