Vantai24h – Date 09/29/2015 - The highway project Da Nang – Quang Ngai is underway with high speed, which means that in the near future, the upgrade and development of traffic infrastructure will stimulate logistics companies to have more efficient, time-saving and safer transport journeys on the road.
Transport 24h Co.Ltd is fueling for the truck before setting off. Sharing with us one of the most unforgettable experiences of many years of driving, Hoang Cong Hieu said: “Every time I look down to the steering wheel, the thing I pay the most attention is fuel gauge”. To explain the reason why he always notices this part, Hieu told me his story.
He said: “I remember this experience very clearly. The reason was that I took nearly a half of day to have some fuel for my car engine before getting to the nearest petrol station due to my paying no attention to the fuel gauge. After the previous day’s final transport journey, I realized that the fuel left was still enough to go for another 100 kilometers, so I decided to refuel the next day. Unfortunately, I was ordered to transport a large volume of goods early the next morning. All petrol stations in the city were not open until 7 am but I thought that transportation distance was only under 60 kilometers so there was enough fuel to drive. After that day’s first journey, I had to continue to get to a near spot to load and transport goods to the suburb of Hanoi. When I was driving smoothly on the highway, I just realized I forgot refueling for the truck. If I tried to continue driving, it would be very dangerous for the engine. I turned on the warning light and pull off the truck at the side of the road. The nearest petrol station was at least 30 kilometers away but luckily, when I did not know what to know, I saw the company’s truck on its way back to Hanoi. I called my fellow driver immediately for his help. It took me 3 hours to have a little gas to get out of the highway and to the petrol station. Since then, I have always kept this lesson in my mind.”
Companies of car production also warn that driving with little fuel left is very hazardous for the engine. When it is out of fuel, air has a chance to enter the system which may lead to the unsteady flow of gas to the engine. Besides, the remains of gas at the bottom of the tank may go into the engine, which can result in the decrease in the performance of the engine and other car parts. Therefore, it is crucial for drivers to ensure to have an adequate amount of fuel in the car before setting off. This prepared step will save drivers a lot of time and limit potential risks in the process of transport.
