A typical trip of transportation from the warehouse of American Standard VietNam (shortened as AS) from Hanoi to Hai Duong complies with the following procedure:
The driver takes the order from the manager of Transport 24h on the previous day. The next day, he will be at AS and wait for the security guard to process the paperwork.
Commodities are loaded onto the truck orderly and carefully. Because each type of products is put in to a separate container, it is convenient to preserve them in the transport process. Hung, a driver of Transport 24h said: “It is not very hard to load the commodities because the AS has its own workforce for this work. We just need to support them if necessary. It sounds easy but it has its own difficulties due to unexpected falling or breaking of goods. Therefore, we must pay attention to each container carefully. If we find any damaged packages, we will suggest worker open the container and check. If they are in good conditions, we will transport them.”
The drivers also need to count and check cautiously the number of commodities and sign the minute of hand-over. Driver Tran Cong Manh told us: “there are a high number of goods in each trip; therefore, it is not easy for us to count them. Fortunately, we receive the support from the warehouse’s workers so it does not take too much time to complete. After checking the number of goods, we will sign the Minute of Hand-over and start transporting.
The final step is to transport commodities from Hanoi to Hai Duong and unload them at the requested destination. It takes more than 1 hour for trucks to get to Hai Duong and our duty only completes when the last container of goods is given to the customer.
